Prophetic Word for South Africa
Julian Adams • May 20, 2017

May 21st 2017 – Julian Adams gives a prophetic word for the nation of South Africa. Harvest Church, Umhlanga, South Africa.
– TRANSCRIPT
Julian: “And I want you to look and see what I’m doing. I want you to look, guys, beyond the horizon, I want you to gaze above the periphery, above that which is seen with the naked eye, to begin to see what I’m doing beyond that which is seen with the physical.” Now, folks, God said to me, “Season change is upon us.” I believe it’s for us, it’s a house and Harvest, but I believe it’s for us as a city in Durban, and indeed I believe it’s for us as a nation in South Africa. It is season change time. And there are moments in history where God begins to do something so marked, so profound, that a whole season is named by it, and is marked by it. A calendar will bring about a change because of a year, or because of a physical season, or because of moving from 1999 to the 2000s. It brings a change. But I feel like the Lord is saying, “I am not just bringing about a calendar change, I am not just bringing about a physical season change, I am bringing about an era change. Like, I am moving you from one era, where you’ve been known by one name, into and a new era where you will be known by so much more.”
Now, I was reminded of the Industrial Revolution era, that caused an acceleration in productivity, an acceleration in machinery, an acceleration in technology. It marked out that era. Reminded of the tech era that began to hit us as we begin to discover what it means to have the internet and to do emails, and to have virtual reality conversations, and to engage in a tech level that is unlike anything we’ve seen. We’ve been marked in this era by the advancement of computer technology, and technology that is making communication faster and quicker. But, I believe the Lord is saying, that the church has often lagged behind. But in this season, He is bringing an acceleration so that we step into a new era very quickly. And, this era is gonna be marked by significant-miraculous breakouts, it’s gonna be marked by significant demonstrations of reconciliation, even at a government level. They’re gonna begin to do what no one thought was possible, “For I am God over this nation, and I am God even in this house, I am going to begin to do a significant work that will mark the next era by the intervention and the breaking in of my Spirit.
“I want you to know that the thinking that got you where you are today,” says the Lord, “Is not the thinking that will take you to where you need to be, for I am bringing a whole new wineskin, a wineskin that is built in relationship, a wineskin that is built in the miraculous, a wineskin that is built in apostolic mothers and fathers who will re-establish people in true identity so that they will do the impossible exploits that I have called you to do as Kingdom people. And I want you to know, even as government change is upon us, even as the powers that have been enthroned over this nation begins to shift and begins to move, even as I pull one down and I put a new one in, this season is gonna be marked by the church regaining and refinding her voice, not in protest, not in arrogance, and not in religion, but she will find her voice as a mother and as a father to a nation again. Even as I raised Joseph up to be a father in Pharaoh’s house, so I am releasing a new sound amongst my people, for this season is a new era. The way it was done and how it was marked in the past is no longer. And so I want you to lift up eyes, cannot your hope in the financial institutions of this nation, cannot put your hope in the political democratic process. I want you to look to me, for I am releasing a new era in South Africa. I am releasing a new era in this nation, and it will change the world,” says the Lord.
Man: Yes, Lord.
Julian: And so lift up your eyes again, lift up your hearts again, lift up your voice again, for surely, the mighty one of Israel is arising in your midst.
Woman: Thank you, Jesus.
Julian: Surely, the mighty one who established the nations simply through his word is beginning to move, and beginning to shake, and beginning to release a new era over this nation, over this house, over this city. Lift up your eyes and see afresh again, hear again with new ears, allow hope to rise again, for hope does not disappoint, It is a new season. “But I tell you,” says the Lord, “It’s more than a season, it’s a new era that is marked by the miraculous intervention of my Spirit in this nation.”
Woman 2: Thank you, Lord.
Julian: Just begin to respond to Him right now. I don’t often bring prophetic words like that. In fact, I don’t think I’ve brought one like that in this house yet.
Woman 3: Thank you, Jesus.
Julian: But, I feel a stirring in the heart of the Father, I feel the moving in the heart of the Father. Something is beginning to shift, something is beginning to move, and it requires a response to Him. “I tell you there will be much exposing, but there will be much deliverance in this season. There will be much uncovering. But I tell you,” says the Lord, “Much shame will be removed from this nation.” So just begin to respond to Him in worship, begin to love on Him. God is beginning to move, something new is beginning to break out. It’s an era of miraculous intervention, it’s an era of angelic visitation, it’s an era of signs and wonders, it’s an era of the church having her voice restored. A voice of, “Grace, grace, grace”. Oh, we look to you Lord. If you know how to pray in the Holy Spirit, or pray in tongues, I want you to begin to do that right now. I want you to begin to pray in the Spirit, as we call on God for this new era to be ushered in. Watch and see with new eyes, listen to hear with new ears. We declare it in your name, we declare it’s a new way. We declare that there is wine that is pouring from heaven again. Hallelujah.
Woman 4: Oh, hallelujah…

If you want to grow in the prophetic, it doesn’t begin with what you say. It begins with what you see. The prophetic is rooted in perception. Not just natural insight, but spiritual awareness—what Scripture calls “the eyes of your heart.” Paul prayed that the church in Ephesus would have their hearts enlightened so they could truly see what God was doing. “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you…” (Ephesians 1:18) God isn’t distant or withholding. But if we’re going to hear Him clearly, we have to see differently. We need Heaven’s perspective. And that means learning to quiet the noise, tune into His voice, and let Him train our inner vision. You don’t need to wait for a dramatic vision or audible voice. Often, God speaks through a nudge. A mental picture. A scripture that lingers. A sense of burden or joy that feels holy. These are the first signs that your spiritual eyesight is awakening. But it takes time. It takes attention. It takes trust. Just like physical muscles grow with use, your spiritual senses grow as you spend time with Him—not just talking, but listening. Not just asking for answers, but asking for His perspective. You were never meant to live according to what the world says is true. You were meant to live by every word that flows from the mouth of God. A Prayer for This Week: “Lord, open the eyes of my heart. Teach me to see what You see—not just in others, but in myself, in my circumstances, in the world around me. Give me clarity and confidence to trust Your perspective more than my own. Amen.” This week, pay attention to what you notice. The way you see is often the way He speaks.

We are living in a world of dramatic change. The relentless pace of development often leaves us breathless and exhausted. The demand for innovative ways of communicating, inventing, and staying ahead of cultural trends can feel daunting and demoralizing. It can push us into a space where we find ourselves trying to copy rather than be authentic, to imitate rather than create. This pressure can lead us to believe that we need to be more creative, and that our individual stories do not matter. But nothing could be further from the truth. Your story, no matter how small, matters and is powerful. One of the remarkable aspects of ancient manuscripts, like the Bible, is that they tell the stories of individuals whose lives may seem small and insignificant. Yet, God chose to make their lives a memorial of what He could do with a life that the world deems insignificant. The incredible power of the gospel is that it changes lives one at a time. God is as interested in the individual story as He is in redeeming the cosmos. The aim of the gospel is not just dealing with personal sin; it is about restoring individuals to a relationship with a kind Father. In his book Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis beautifully said, "The Son of God became a man to enable men to become sons of God." Justification addresses our standing before God, but our adoption invites us into a relationship with the Father. It allows us to partake of who He is and to live in a place of deep joy from who He is. Romans 3:23 reminds us that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Many of us forget that the work of salvation has turned this verse around. Through Jesus, we have been restored to the glory of God. One description of the word "glory" refers to the divine quality, the unspoken manifestation of God, and splendor. It is the revelation of God's intrinsic worth and beauty. Do you see that? We have been restored to His divine quality, splendor, and beauty. In a world where it can be easy to feel like just another face in the crowd, remember that your story is significant. Your experiences, your journey, and your voice matter. Embrace the unique narrative God has given you and let it shine. You are not just a spectator; you are a vital participant in God's grand story. Your authenticity, creativity, and individuality are valuable. As you navigate the rapid changes of our world, hold on to the truth that your story has power and purpose. God sees you, knows you, and has a plan for your life that is uniquely yours. Let us celebrate the beauty and significance of each individual story, knowing that together, we contribute to a tapestry of divine splendor and glory.
